Itinerary
4:00 am: Depart from your hotel and take a 3-hour drive to Can Tho city.
7:00 am: Arrive at Ninh Kieu pier and start your boat trip on Hau river to Cai Rang Floating market - the biggest floating market in Vietnam.
Unsurprisingly, you’ll find Cai Rang floating market packed with boats selling a wide range of farm products and specialties from Cai Rang town and neighboring areas. Your morning will be well-spent as you’ll see the wide range of food, drinks, fruits, and vegetables at its freshest and fullest.
10:00 am: Then your boat will speed up through green and beautiful channels of the Mekong River stretching along rural villages to Phong Dien district where your car is ready to take you to Ben Tre.
1:00 pm: Upon arriving in Ben Tre, you will take a short boat trip on the Ham Luong river and through natural canals to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch.
After lunch, hop on a bike for a fun ride around the village.
Then take a leisurely rowing boat along the canals.
Have a short visit to a brick kiln factory where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand.
Visit a coconut processing workshop where you can witness how skillfully and quickly local workers peel coconut shells or how to use each different part of a coconut.
6:00 pm: Transfer you back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city
